About the Event

This Sunday, in assosication with TEDx-Nizamuddin, we take a walk around the Periphery of Humayun's Tomb in Nizamuddin East. As monsoon season enters its final stage, we explore the heritage that is often ignored by thousands of visitors to the graveyard of House of Taimur. While a large portion consisting of as many as 7 monuments is under renovation and cannot be visited, we will still talk about them and visit the remaining monuments.

- Khanqah of Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya & Chilla of Khwaja Farid
- Gurudwara Damdama Sahib
- Neela Gumbad
- Tomb of Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khana
- Barakhamba

Places under restoration (Cannot be visited)
- Sunderwala Burj & Mahal
- Lakkadwala Burj
- Bada & Chhote Batashewala Mahal
- A Mughal Tomb

Places we cannot visit from inside:
- Arab ki Sarai (Entry from inside Humayun's Tomb)
- Sabz Burj (Locked by ASI)
- Sayyid Yaseen's Tomb, Stable and a Mosque (inside ITI premise)

We shall be discussing the following:
- Geography and History of the region
