About the Event

On high public demand, we bring back the popular talk by Vikramjit Singh at IHC. Delhi has been an important town since 1500BC. From Pandavas to Bahadur Shah Zafar and then the British, Delhi was ruled by numerous rulers, out of which only 100 are known to us.
Ever wondered, why is there a "Delhi Gate" right in the heart of Delhi?
Why do we have so many places that end with name "Bagh", whereas there are no gardens in those colonies?
Where are those 1300 monuments hidden in such a small city?
Delhi had over 100 Baolis and thousands of wells. Why were they needed when we had Yamuna and its tributaries passing through every village of Delhi?
How did the name "Delhi" originated?

During this Heritage Durbar, we will talk about the Origin and Evolution of the capital of India and answer many such questions. You are requested to RSVP on tauseef@yfhf.in to ensure your seat.
